Get Your Skates On, Manchester! February is All About Roller Derby
What an incredible start to the year for the Manchester skate scene! The energy is absolutely electric, especially within the roller derby community. We’re seeing a huge surge of interest, with fantastic opportunities for newcomers to get involved, like the popular Roller Derby – Learn to Skate sessions giving everyone a chance to try out this amazing sport. It’s so inspiring to see the community grow, and a huge shout-out to the new skaters at Greater Manchester Roller Derby who are already showcasing their skills!
Beyond the track, the social skate scene is as strong as ever. Manc Skating continues to be the heart of the community, hosting their brilliant weekly meetups like the Sunday Skate in Didsbury/37210845/) and the Thursday Skate in Kearsley/37210852/). It’s this mix of dedicated sport and relaxed social skating that makes Manchester so special. We’re also thrilled to see our own Let’s Roll skaters like `aceofhearts` and `lucyjp` right in the thick of it, logging sessions and being part of the action.
