Happy New Year, Leeds skaters! As we roll into January, the entire city is buzzing with some of the most exciting news we’ve had in decades. While our community app was quiet over the festive break, the scene itself was making history with the arrival of The Skate Sanctuary. That’s right, thanks to the amazing Roller Girl Gang, Leeds now has its very first dedicated roller skating venue since 1973! According to Leeds-List, this inclusive spot in Mabgate Mills is open for skaters of all levels and even has a shop for all your gear needs.
This is a true game-changer for all of us. It’s more than just a venue; it’s a home base, a community hub, and the perfect place to kick off your 2025 skating goals. Let’s make this month all about exploring this fantastic new space and getting our own local discoveries back on the map. We can’t wait to see your sessions, spot finds, and reviews pour in!
