What a month for skating in sunny San Diego! While the Let’s Roll app was a little quiet on new community discoveries, the city itself was absolutely electric with organized events. August saw the Gaslamp Quarter transform into a skater’s paradise every weekend with the Skate Sundays at Gaslamp Quarter, throwing it back with awesome themed nights. For those craving competition, sparks flew at the AWAY GAME: Fer Sures vs. San Diego Roller Derby bout, proving our derby scene is as fierce as ever.
Beyond the classics, we also saw a super unique event with the Roll & Rise: WISE San Diego Skate Night & Entrepreneurial Panel, mixing business with pleasure on eight wheels. It’s clear that San Diego’s passion for skating is huge!
