What a whirlwind of a month for the San Diego skate community! While things were a little quiet on the Let’s Roll app, the local scene was buzzing with a truly monumental event. We’re sending a massive round of applause to the Slam Diego Roller Derby for their incredible home team bout at the end of May. It was a bittersweet moment, as the Slam Diego Roller Derby Inaugural Heaven's Skate vs Stay Trashy San Diego Home Team Bout, Alumni Fundraiser and Junior Bout marked the league’s last games at Ringer’s Roller Rink.
As one chapter closes, another one opens, and the search for a new home begins. Now more than ever, our local derby league needs our support! As we roll into June, let’s rally as a community. And while we’re at it, let’s get our own discoveries back on the map. Let’s fill up the app with all the amazing skating San Diego has to offer and show everyone why this is one of the best cities to roll in!
