Your Sacramento Skate Scene for January 2026: Derby Thrills & New Year's Rolls!
Happy New Year, Sacramento skaters! While our Let’s Roll app community was a little quiet on the discovery front this past month, the city itself was absolutely buzzing with incredible skate energy to close out the year. It’s clear that Sactown skaters were busy hitting the rink and the track, and we are so here for it!
The holiday spirit was in full swing over at Sunrise Rollerland, which kicked off a packed Winter Session Skating schedule and hosted some awesome New Year’s Skate parties to roll us into 2026. The absolute can’t-miss event, though, was the high-energy RED RED Tournament put on by Sacramento Roller Derby. The action was intense, and it was the perfect, powerful end to a fantastic year of skating in our city!
Community Skate Events
No new community-led events were added through the app this month, but the city was alive with official action! From the roller derby track to the rink, there was plenty to do. Did you attend any of the holiday sessions or the derby tournament? Don’t forget to log your sessions!
