Happy New Year, Raleigh skaters! As we roll out of an awesome holiday season and into January, the energy in the Triangle is absolutely electric. While the rinks were buzzing with festive fun, our street skating community was hard at work, uncovering fresh pavement and putting new locations on the map. The biggest discovery this month is a fantastic new spot right behind the Hunt Library—a perfect place to kick off your 2025 skate goals!
Beyond our own app discoveries, the whole city has been alive with skate events. We hope you caught the awesome energy of the Carolina Roller Derby Winter Wipeout earlier in December, a true showcase of our city’s powerful derby scene! And the fun isn’t over yet; you can still catch the last of the United Skates' Winter Break Roller Skating events as we glide into the new year. It’s the perfect time to grab your crew and hit the wood floors or the city streets!
Raleigh's Newest Find: The Hunt Library Spot
Big shout-out to our community for uncovering what looks to be a new go-to for street skaters. The area ‘Behind the Hunt Library’ has officially been added to the app. Go check it out, log a session, and let’s see what kind of creative lines we can all come up with at this fresh location!

Behind the Hunt Library
“Good surface, big enough for practicing tricks and stunts. Secluded so nobody can bother you 🙂 Right next to the Hunt library so there are public restrooms and water fountains!”
Where Has Raleigh Been Rolling?
We love seeing where you’re all skating! Make sure to log your skate sessions in the app to share your favorite routes, show off your mileage, and put a pin in the map for where the action is happening in Raleigh.
