Whoa, Portland skaters, what a month August was! The energy in the city was absolutely electric, and it’s clear the scene is buzzing as we roll into September. The entire skate world had its eyes on PDX with the massive Rockstar Energy Open hitting Waterfront Park, bringing pro-level talent right to our doorstep. It was inspiring to see the whole community rally around such a huge event!
But it wasn’t just about the pros! August was packed with amazing grassroots energy, too. We saw all wheels welcome at the Zumiez More Than Rolling jam, and our roller skating family got a huge boost with the free Skates in the Park event hosted by the legendary Rose City Rollers. With all this action, our app was a little quiet on new discoveries. Let’s use this momentum! As we skate into September, let’s get out there, explore our city, and light up the Let’s Roll map with all the incredible spots Portland has to offer.
Who's Rolling? Skaters on the Rise
We didn’t see any new skater profiles get the spotlight in August, but we know you’re out there shredding! See someone at the park with a unique style or a super positive vibe? Give them a follow and a shout-out in the app. Let’s celebrate the amazing skaters that make the Portland scene so special.
Track Your Progress: Log Your Sessions!
Let’s see those hours on wheels, Portland! No new sessions were logged in the app last month, but we know you were rolling. Logging your sessions is a great way to track your progress and show the community where the action is happening. Let’s get those skates on and get logging!
