What an incredible time to be a skater in Phoenix! The energy is absolutely electric right now, and it’s not just the holiday lights. Major outlets like KJZZ and the Phoenix New Times have been buzzing about the city’s roller skating comeback, and we’re seeing it firsthand. The heart of this new wave is the incredible Zoni Girls, a crew of three sisters who have turned their passion into a must-visit downtown rink, proving that our community’s spirit is stronger than ever.
While the big stories are exciting, the Let’s Roll app was a little quiet this past month. As we roll into a new year, let’s make a resolution to put our local scene on the map! Rinks like Great Skate are keeping the holiday spirit alive with awesome events like their Winter Break Roller Skating series and a special NOON Year's Eve Skate, but we know the real magic happens on the streets, trails, and in our community-led meetups.
