What an absolutely epic August for the Philly skate scene! While our app was quiet, the city was buzzing with incredible events that brought the whole community together. The Delaware River waterfront was clearly the place to be, with skaters flocking to the Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest all month long. The energy peaked with the incredible FRUIT ROL-UP carnival, but that wasn’t all! We also saw skaters grooving at the Philly SkatePlex and the Drexel Weekend Warriors taking over Penn’s Landing.
Beyond the local rinks, Philadelphia had a reason to be proud on the world stage! A huge shoutout to local hero Ryan Marker, who was representing Team USA in inline hockey at the World Games. It’s so inspiring to see skaters with ties to our city excelling at the highest level. Let’s carry all this amazing energy into September and keep the momentum rolling!
