What’s up, Orlando skaters! September was an absolute blast, proving that the heart of the Orlando skate scene is beating stronger than ever. While our community map was a little quiet on new discoveries, the official event calendar was absolutely on fire, especially for all you derby fans out there! The energy was electric, starting with the Roller Rodeo – Summer Kick off Celebration at Lake Lorna Doone Park, which got everyone rolling into the month with great vibes.
But the real story was the incredible action from Orlando Roller Derby. They treated us to both a super fun, themed Sunday Funday Open Scrimmage and an epic Home Game Doubleheader that saw the Ozone Slayers take on Twister City. The spirit and skill on display were off the charts! Seeing our city host such amazing events gets us hyped for what’s next. Let’s carry this momentum into October and start filling up the Let’s Roll app with our own sessions, spots, and meetups!
