What’s up, Dallas skaters! The energy in DFW is absolutely electric right now, and you can feel it in every push and glide. The biggest news dropping this month is the grand opening of a spot that’s pure nostalgic magic: Galaxy Skate in Grapevine is bringing back the classic rink vibes we all love. But that’s not all! The competitive scene is heating up as the nation’s best descend on Frisco Skate Park for the U.S. Roller Freestyle Championships, hosted by our very own local pro. It’s a massive month for both rink rats and park shredders!
The community spirit here is truly what makes Dallas special. We saw that in full force at the recent UT Southwestern Adaptive Sports Expo, which showcased the incredible world of WCMX and adaptive skating. And the fun never stops, with regular meetups like the weekly 14-mile Dallas City Skate keeping the trails busy and awesome themed events like the North Texas Roller Derby's Halloween skate bringing us all together. The DFW scene is thriving, so let’s get out there and roll!
