Happy New Year, Columbus skaters! The holiday season was buzzing with incredible energy at our local rinks, keeping the spirit of skating alive and well through the chilly weather. It was awesome to see rinks like United Skates of America and Skate Zone 71 host so many festive events, from an Old School Family Hip-Hop Christmas Day Skate and a soulful Holiday Newbie Adult Skate Night to a wild Mystery Character Indoor Snowball Fight! If you missed out, don’t worry—you can still catch the tail end of the fun. United Skates is continuing its Winter Break Roller Skating celebration until January 5th, giving us one last chance to roll in that festive spirit.
As we glide into 2025, let’s make this our most connected year yet! While the rinks have been busy, our community map on the Let’s Roll app has been a little quiet. This is our call to action, crew! Let’s light up the map with all the amazing street spots, park paths, and hidden gems Columbus has to offer. Every new spot, event, or session you share helps our scene grow stronger. Let’s get rolling and share the stoke!
