What a month for Chicago skaters! The energy in the Windy City is absolutely electric right now, and it’s easy to see why. The entire scene was buzzing about the incredible creativity of turning a former South Loop T.J. Maxx into a pop-up roller skating rave space. This epic event, organized by Chicago Skate Social and Chicago Vintage Festival, showed the world what happens when our community’s passion takes over.
That same creative spirit is alive and well right here in the Let’s Roll app. While big events grab headlines, you all were busy uncovering the hidden gems that make everyday skating possible. This month, our community’s resourcefulness was on full display, with skaters sharing amazing new outdoor spots perfect for everything from dance practice to trail skating. This blend of massive pop-up parties and grassroots spot discovery is what makes Chicago’s scene so special, and we can’t wait to carry this momentum into June!

We’re loving the discovery of the Humbolt Park Soccer Cages for some contained footwork, and the super-smooth, inclusive surface at Mcfetridge Park’s wheelchair accesible ball field is a total game-changer. Plus, who doesn’t love a classic session at a spot like the Northeaster University Tennis Courts? Keep these amazing finds coming!
