“Today marks the beginning of something personal:
64 miles before my birthday—a challenge I gave myself as a born-again skater.
The start was… slow. Real slow.
Under 20 minutes in and I was already eyeing the exit like, “We good here?”
But I reminded myself—this isn’t a race, it’s a comeback.
When you’re restarting after a long break, pacing is everything.
It’s not about speed. It’s about showing up.
Today, I laced up. I rolled out.
And that’s a win.
More miles ahead, but for now…
we skate again soon.
