What a month for roller skating in Japan! The energy in Tokyo is absolutely electric as we roll into December, and for good reason. While our Let’s Roll app feed was a little quiet, it’s clear everyone was rightfully glued to the action just outside the city in Sakai, which hosted the 2025 Roller Freestyle World Championships from November 22-27. The best skaters from around the globe descended on our doorstep for an incredible display of talent in both Park and Street disciplines.
While international athletes from Brazil and France put on a dominant show, the biggest cheers from our community were for one of our own! A huge congratulations to Japan’s Mei Myoga for bringing home the gold medal in Women’s Street. Seeing a local skater crowned world champion on home turf is a massive inspiration for all of us. Let’s carry this incredible momentum into the new month and light up the streets of Tokyo!
