What’s up, Dublin skaters! While June was a bit of a quiet one for new discoveries on the Let’s Roll app, the wider Dublin skate scene is absolutely electric with anticipation. The big news that has us all buzzing is that our very own skaters from Dublin Roller Derby are a huge part of Team Ireland, heading to the Roller Derby World Cup in Austria this July! As highlighted in The Irish Times, they’ve been training hard at the Inchicore Community Sports Centre, and we’re sending them all our energy for the competition. Let’s show them some major community love!
Back home, the scene is still thriving with amazing opportunities to connect and roll. The incredible BIPOC and LGBTQ+ led Skate Revolution continues to host their fantastic weekly Skate and Brunch, which is the perfect way to spend a Saturday. And for those looking to get into derby or just enjoy a rink session, keep an eye on events like the Open Skate with Dublin Roller Derby. Let’s get inspired by our World Cup heroes and make July a month full of our own skate adventures!
