Hello Helsinki skaters! As the long summer days arrive, the city’s skate scene is absolutely buzzing with energy. The biggest news is the fantastic weekly city tours, the Helsinki Wednesday Skates, organized by the Street Gliders. These are the perfect way to explore the city on wheels with a massive crew and are a must-do for June! It’s clear this community is thriving, especially with the recent conclusion of the Helsinki Roller Derby's beginners' course—we can’t wait to see the new talent hitting the track!

And while the big group skates are amazing, our own Let’s Roll community has been busy finding spots for those solo sessions and skill drills. This month, a fantastic new spot was added to the app: a hockey rink with guaranteed smooth pavement. It’s the perfect time to get out, join a group roll, or find your own rhythm at a new spot. Let’s get rolling, Helsinki!

“Lately no annoyances from hockey players! I personally like the surface – pretty sticky though with pretty much any wheel, even hard ones”
