What’s up, Melbourne skaters! April was an absolutely epic month for our community, and it’s set us up for an incredible May on eight wheels. The biggest news? You all went on a discovery spree, adding an unbelievable number of new skate spots to the Let’s Roll app! We’re talking dozens of new parks, plazas, and DIY gems lighting up the map, proving once again that Melbourne is a world-class city for skaters. This explosion of local knowledge is what our community is all about!
While we were busy mapping the city, the event scene was buzzing with energy. It was awesome to see so many of you carving it up at the annual Slalom / Freestyle Easter Battle outside the Melbourne Museum – the community spirit was amazing! We were bummed that The Roller Disco Party got cancelled, but it couldn’t dampen our spirits. The scene’s diversity was also on full display with the unique 2023 Victorian FIS Rollerski International event, showing that there are countless ways to roll in this city. Let’s take all that energy and explore these new spots in May!
You Put Melbourne's Hidden Gems on the Map!
Seriously, give yourselves a round of applause! The sheer volume of new spots added in April is staggering. Our map is now richer than ever, covering everything from iconic hubs like the legendary Prahran Skatepark and Riverslide Skate Park to incredible local finds like the Keys Rd DIY Skatepark and West Footscray New park. Whether you’re looking for indoor perfection at RampFest or a street session at Les Erdi Plaza, the app is now packed with options thanks to you.
