While our app has been a little quiet on the new discoveries front this past month, the city’s skate scene is about to explode with some seriously epic events in July that will have us buzzing all the way through August. We’re talking about global-level competition and not one, but TWO free pop-up roller discos to get your groove on!
The absolute can’t-miss event is the 2025 JRDA World Cup rolling into the Mount Warren Sports & Fitness Centre. From July 26-28, the world’s best junior roller derby athletes from ten different countries will be battling it out right here in our backyard. This is a huge deal, and a fantastic chance to see the future of derby! If you’re looking for a more relaxed vibe, get ready to lace up for the Secret Roller Disco Sunday at Suncorp Stadium and celebrate World Wide Roll Out Day with another free disco and live DJ at Hercules Street Park. Let’s get out there and represent the vibrant Brissy skate community!
