Morning skate session
“Just testing a new mount, feels a little bit off so back to the workshop for some adjustments.
So it turns out that my original skates were mounted incorrectly. The center line was matching the middle seam of the boot which is wrong. When measured correctly the centre line should be to the outside of the boot seam. Getting the correct measurement is much easier with a dedicated tool – which I don’t have but if you find the middle of your foot between ball of your feet and then find the middle of your foot on the heel and draw a line between those 2 points that should be pretty close. In my case my center line was 1 cm to the left of the toe seam. Having the center there will make using my inside edges easier.”
