Spring has officially sprung, the pavement is drying up, and skate season is back in full swing. To celebrate, we are dropping one of the biggest updates to the Let’s Roll app yet: The All-New Event Experience.
If you’ve been following our “Building in Public” roadmap over at build.lets-roll.app, you already know what’s coming. You voted, you gave us feedback, and today, it is live in the app.
The Problem with the “Endless Scroll”
Let’s be honest: Our old event feed was getting a little chaotic. Our community is growing so fast that if you just wanted to find a local parking lot drill session on a Tuesday, you had to scroll past a massive marathon in Berlin and a roller disco in Tokyo.
A one-size-fits-all, chronologically sorted feed just wasn’t cutting it anymore. It buried the local sessions you needed today, and it didn’t give the massive, mind-blowing international festivals the spotlight they deserved.
Enter the Spotlight: Dreams on Top, Daily on the Bottom 🌍📍
Open the Events tab today, and you’ll see a completely redesigned, two-tier experience:
1. Worldwide Featured Events: Right at the top of your screen, you’ll now see a horizontal, highly visual carousel of. These are the destination festivals, the massive skate marathons, and the legendary weekender jams.
2. The Local Scene: Right beneath the carousel is your completely refined local feed. Because the global festivals are now living in the top spotlight, your vertical feed is 100% dedicated to what is happening near you. No more endless scrolling to find your local crew—the closest and soonest sessions are right there.
