Beautiful morning artistic at the park
“Feeling so good skating today literally brought years to my eyes. Worked on implementing what I learned from Deanna, my dance coach on Tuesday. When I was a little girl, I skated art for 5 years, then quit at 13 when I realized the financial strain on my single mother (she's so wonderful) who was doing all she could to keep me in skates, dresses and lessons. I never wanted to quit but I gave it up for my family (they never knew why). It means so much to me that I get to skate now like I wanted to skate back then.
Oh, also met a new derby skater in the same league where I used to skate. I'm looking forward to cheering her on next season! “
